Scientific Advisor
Anthony J. Zucchero, Ph.D., serves as a Scientific Advisor in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, polymer science, materials science, and nanotechnology. Dr. Zucchero drafts patent applications, prosecutes U.S. patent applications (drafts responses, amendments, and appeal and reply briefs), and corresponds with foreign associates to guide the prosecution of foreign applications.
Dr. Zucchero graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2004 with a B.S. in Chemistry. While pursuing his doctoral degree at Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Zucchero synthesized and characterized novel responsive fluorophores (both small molecules and conjugated polymers) for advanced applications in biosensing, environmental detection, and optoelectronic devices.
As a graduate student, Dr. Zucchero received a graduate student fellowship from the Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics. Prior to joining Pabst Patent Group, Dr. Zucchero worked as a research chemist with a micro-optics company developing novel security and anti-counterfeiting features.
Dr. Zucchero has co-authored numerous technical publications in journals including Accounts of Chemical Research, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Journal of Organic Chemistry, Organic Letters, Macromolecules, Chemical Communications, and Chemistry – A European Journal. He has also presented his research findings at numerous conferences including multiple national meetings of the American Chemical Society, the 9th International Symposium on Metallomesogens, and the 8th International Symposium on Functional π-Electron Systems.
