Patent Licensing Roundtable
Three licensing experts shared their insights and experiences regarding patent licensing with a focus on practical considerations. Highlights included discussions regarding pros and cons for standard licensing provisions, the effect MedImmune v. Gennentech (2007) and Quanta v. LG Electronics (2008) on patent licenses, and marketing patents to third parties. The event was moderated by Rivka D. Monheit and panelists included Wendy A. Choi of Kilpatrick Stockton, William A. Hartselle of IPinvestments Group and David S. Teske of Alston + Bird LLP. The Patent and Licensing Committees of Intellectual Property Law Section and ICLE sponsored the discussion.
